The very versatile QU-AX Q-handle is a handlebar for long-distance-rides. On the one hand, this one is compatible with many type of unicycles, on the other hand, it is very adjustable: height, length and angle.

Description

The Q-handle can be mounted above or below the seatclamp. Or as seatclamp!
adjust the length on the H-Bar no cutting necessary!
adjust the angle at the front of the stem
due to the use of aluminium, it only weighs 590g (without shims and foam)
the foam and the adaptors are included
the bow has a diameter of 22.2mm so that brake lever-handles, grips, bells, cycle-computers
the system is independent from the saddle â€“ and very rigid
The new H-Bar is 10mm less wide (now 90mm) and the stem is 15 mm long to get out of the way of your legs for sure.

Note: the 2026 QU-AX Q-handle does not come with shims although they are available. The shims allows the handle to fix it on seatpost of 22.2 mm (like Myata seatposts for example), on 25.4mm seatposts (like on QU-AX and Nimbus unicycles) on 27.2mm seatposts (like on Kris Holm unicycles) or on 28.6mm frames (QU-AX steel frames) and without shims directly on 31.8mm tubes (QX and Kris Holm frames). On the new #RGB unicycles, the Q-handle can only be mounted on the seatpost please not that this increases the min. inseam-size of about around 4cm then.

The handle worked well but it was made from a soft metal and is to wide; so it causes chafing on the legs.

Purchased for my son. I set the bars up and found that they are well made strong and very adjustable. The bars are light and very comfortable. The foam grip is good and when placed onto the bars using plenty of hairspray it can be positioned well and the grip does not move. We have not got around to setting up equipment such as a brake lever but there is plenty of options. Overall these bars are very good and strong.

I bought two of these handles, one for each of my cycles. I loved the design, and when I got them, I loved the execution. But, after less then one week of gentle riding around town (I am sixty-five and new at this game) with the occasional daily drops when trying to free-mount, all four welds on the two clamps on the tee cracked and the handle fell off. Upon close inspection, the welds were poorly made. I say this after a lifetime of working in the aluminum construction trade. That experience has also taught me that a problem need not be a problem, just an opportunity for a solution. But not with the QU-AX people. Qu-Ax wanted money to replace the broken part and warned me the same thing would happen if I used it the same way again !!! I will not throw good money after bad, and I will NOT pay a penny to replace the faulty part Qu-Ax provided me. As for you, the prospective buyer considering this handle, stay away from it unless you never ever drop your uni.

Fantastically adjustable handlebar – Slide it up and down your seatpost, slide the bar in and out, and adjust the tilt. The whole thing feels absolutely solid, though it’s actually quite lightweight. The handle itself provides plenty of positions for your hands, which is nice, and is a lot longer than it looks in the pictures (Overall length from seatpost to tip of handle is about 52cm, with the handle fully extended and everything straight), so can provide a good forward lean for speeding down the road. The foam noodle that came with it to provide padding/grip took a bit of coaxing to slide it on – I soaked it in boiling water to expand it a bit and that helped, and it now sits without rotating/moving about on the bar at all. I don’t use a brake, but this foam might get in the way if you wanted to attach a lever near where you’d put your hands – I guess you could cut a section out, or get rid of it and use bar-tape or just put some regular bar-grips where you want them most. My only issue is that the T-shape that the handle slides into is a bit too wide. I sometimes feel it on the back of my legs. Might not be a problem if you don’t mind mounting it lower-down (Or using it as a seatpost clamp, which apparently will work just fine though I didn’t try it). Overall, its the cheapest handle you can get (without DIYing it) but it’s not cheap-feeling, and despite the minor issue with the wide T-section I’m happy with it. Looks a bit over-engineered but the range of adjustment, and the fact that it doesn’t attach to the saddle makes up for that.
