After taking a break from riding unicycle I decided to get back into it. I’ve owned a Nimbus 24 for ages, but wanted a 29 for longer rides. I asked Roger a few questions via e-mail, and got great advice. My order was processed very quickly, and the uni arrived very well packaged a couple of days later. Unpacking it, I was struck by the high quality and finish – even better than my 24. Everything went together as it should. I’m 5’10, and had to cut the seat post down by 2.5 inches to get a comfortable position. First ride impressions…SMOOTH! It takes a little getting used to, especially the higher position. Also the leverage of shorter cranks kept catching me out, but nothing practice won’t sort. I usually do a 8 mile loop on my 24, and the 29er is way faster over the same loop, even at this early stage. I’ve also added my own custom brake setup. I made a pair of brackets, adapting the Magura mounts to take cantilever or V brakes. A quick dig around in the shed for some old brakes, and I’ve got a braked uni/muni for less than £285! I’ve also got loads of 29/700c tyres too, so should have a really versatile piece of kit. Thanks to Roger and U.D.C….hope to see you out on a muni ride soon.

On its own this is a brilliant uni for someone looking to commute. It shares its hub, frame and rim with the nimbus muni 29 and so can be converted over to muni with some new cranks and a tyre. The wheelset is light and responsive but can eat miles in a way smaller unis cannot.

A good unicycle for commuting on. very fast and smooth. The tyre is fast rolling but i find that it pulls to left on roads with bad camber.

Bought this 29” as a step up from my 26”. It’s very solidly built, and is coping well with all the drops. Good pedals and cranks. I love the tyre, so smooth, it is ideal for roads and paths.

This is a great ride, smooth and dependable. Pedals are totally non slip. Quality of the built is immaculate. The saddle was my only concern and I had to buy something more forgiving to the male anatomy. Now, with new saddle …I love it.
