DHL Suspend Shipping Service to Canada

UpDATE!  1 July 2025 service has been reinstated

Effective Friday, 20 June 2025 (00:00 local time), DHL Express will temporarily suspend all shipping operations to and from Canada. As a result, we will no longer be able to accept DHL Express shipments destined for or originating from Canada starting Wednesday, 18 June 2025, until further notice.

This suspension comes as a result of ongoing labour action in Canada, combined with the implementation of new legislation (Bill C-58), which prevents DHL Express from deploying contingency solutions to maintain service during the disruption.

Please note:

  • Only DHL Express services are affected.

  • Other DHL services, such as DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Supply Chain, and inbound deliveries via DHL eCommerce and Post & Parcel Germany, are not impacted by this change.

DHL Express is continuing discussions with the union (Unifor) in hopes of reaching a fair and sustainable agreement that will allow normal operations to resume as soon as possible.

We understand this may cause inconvenience and disruption, and we apologise sincerely for the impact. We are monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.

If you have any questions or need assistance with alternative shipping options during this period, please feel free to contact our customer support team.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
