Unicycle in the Eden Valley Epic Sportive

Last weekend I entered the Eden Valley Epic cycle event. I was the only entered unicycle in the field of about 1000. I completed the rather hilly 60miles in 5 hour 28mins beating 250 bikes.
The weather was almost ideal.  It was a calm spring day with the temperature at about 8 degrees. The support I received from the bike riders was absolutely fantastic and I had a great day.
I used the super light 36″ Oracle prototype unicycle with 100mm cranks. This may not have been the best plan as on several of the down hills I could not hold the wheel from accelerating out of control and had to do an emergency dismount.
