Irish BMW Weekend

In the Wicklow mountains in Ireland over the Easter weekend there was a BMW (British Muni Weekend). These weekends are organised through out the UK and this was the first time one has taken part in Ireland. The weekend follows a simple format. Meet at a nominated campsite then ride the local mountain bike trails on your Muni unicycle. This BMW was organised by one of our Nimbus Unicycle sponsored riders Souryan Dubois. He arranged 2 days of riding. The first day of riding was on the east side of the mountains in and around the Ballinastoe Mountain Bike Trail centre. Over the 8 hours of riding we had a vast variety of riding; from mature maintained trails to an amazing boardwalk along the Wicklow way. The second day was in the Ticknock Mountain Bike park near Dublin at the north end of the Wicklow mountains. Due to it's location so close to Dublin it is very popular. The riding was fast and furious (after the grind up to the top of the hill). The trails are well maintained and contain some sections very suited the rolling style of Muni's.
